Frequently Asked Questions

Can anyone stamp my log book?
No. A log book may only be stamped by a qualified repairer such as Tommy’s Garage. A log book is used as a record of professional maintenance and helps to preserve the life span of any mechanical parts and maximise the future re-sale value of your vehicle.
What is a manufacturer warranty?
A dealer or manufacturer warranty is a guarantee to the consumer that a vehicle will be free from defects for a set period of time. During this period, any defects that arise are the responsibility of the dealer and entitle the consumer to a repair and/or compensation.
Will servicing at tommy’s garage void my warranty?
No. Under Australian Consumer Law, log book or scheduled servicing may be carried out by your choice of licensed mechanic. To protect your warranty, we strictly follow manufacturer guidelines and all work is carried out by fully trained technicians.
What if I have a warranty claim?
If you have a warrantable defect, it may be a condition of the warranty that any work required to rectify the defect is carried out at the dealer workshop. If so, the team at Tommy’s Garage can assist in guiding you through this process.
